This is the story of how Vickie came to be incarcerated and then turned her life around. This is for a project dealing with the political, social and economic factors affecting Sacramento City College students, and how these factors—social injustice, mass incarceration, and basic needs insecurities—shape the reality that Sacramento City College students live in.
